Yes, good ol' hard work and if you didn't want to hear that then sorry but it's the unavoidable truth and once you come to terms with it then you can take the journey towards self developed happiness.

Every morning, every day and every night you must put in the effort to be the shining example that the world is good and your life is good - that takes some effort as opposed to being negative and project misery unto yourself and others.
